Course Description:

This course is the first part of the intermediate Spanish sequence. Emphasis is placed on the use of language for active communication.

Course Objectives:

-Broaden vocabulary
-Expand grammatical knowledge to    include all the major tenses
-Continued exploration of Spanish history and culture
-Introduction to Spanish literature classical and modern


Evaluation:

The grade in this course will be determined as follows:

Notebook                    10%
     (neat, organized, and containing all notes, homework, quizzes, etc.)

Class participation        15%

Quizzes                        20%

Exams/projects            30%

Final Exam                   25%
